1. Describe a TV series you enjoy watching
Love, Death + Robots
One of my favorite TV series is called Love, Death + Robots. It’s an American adult animated anthology, and what makes it really special is that each episode is created by a different team from different countries. Every story is unique — some are funny, some are disturbing, but all are visually stunning.
Among all the episodes, the one that impressed me the most is from season 3 — it’s called Mason’s Rats. It tells a story about a grumpy farmer in Scotland who faces a rat infestation. But these are not ordinary rats — they’ve evolved into super-intelligent creatures. The farmer buys killer robots to fight them, but things quickly spiral out of control. The battle scenes are intense and even a bit bloody, but also really hilarious. In the end, the farmer actually changes his view and chooses to live in peace with the rats. It made me laugh but also think deeply.
Although I’m more into arts and design — I work in graphic design and hate numbers and formulas — this show made me realize I’m actually quite interested in biology, like species mutation, and also in artificial intelligence. That’s probably why I find this show so addictive. I also enjoy similar content like X-Men or the film Her, which also explore those futuristic or sci-fi themes.
2. Describe a science subject that you are interested in
Biology & AI through animation
Although I’m not a science person — in fact, I work in graphic design, and I usually prefer arts over numbers or formulas — there’s one area of science that really interests me: biology, especially species mutation, and artificial intelligence.
I discovered this interest mainly through a TV series called Love, Death + Robots. It’s an American adult animated anthology, and what makes it really special is that each episode is created by a different team from different countries. Every story is unique — some are funny, some are disturbing, but all are visually stunning. One of my favorites is Mason’s Rats, which shows a Scottish farmer fighting super-evolved rats with killer robots. It’s bloody, hilarious, and surprisingly deep. In the end, the farmer even makes peace with the rats. This short episode made me curious about how species might evolve under pressure, and how humans use AI to control nature — sometimes in dangerous ways.
Even though I didn’t study science in school, I think sci-fi shows like this are a great way to get people interested in scientific ideas. I also like X-Men and the film Her, which explore the relationship between humans and technology. These stories make me reflect a lot.
3. Describe an interesting story you heard or watched
Mason’s Rats from Love, Death + Robots
One of the most interesting stories I’ve watched is from a TV series called Love, Death + Robots. It’s an American adult animated anthology, and what makes it really special is that each episode is created by a different team from different countries. The story I want to talk about is called Mason’s Rats, from season 3. It tells a story about a grumpy farmer in Scotland who faces a rat infestation. But these are not ordinary rats — they’ve evolved into super-intelligent creatures. and they even know how to use weapons! The farmer buys killer robots to fight them, but things quickly spiral out of control. The battle scenes are intense and even a bit bloody, but also really hilarious. In the end, the farmer actually changes his view and chooses to live in peace with the rats.
This story is very interesting and it really made me think a lot — especially about how fast the world is changing. With AI, robotics, and genetic science developing so quickly, we need to ask ourselves not just what we can create, but what kind of future we want. Technology is powerful, but without reflection, it can easily go in the wrong direction.
In general, although it’s just an animated episode, it actually carries a deep message about nature, evolution, and human behavior. That’s why I think it’s a really interesting story.
