Well, I'm going to talk about the internet, which I think is one of the most important inventions in human history. It revolutionized the way we live our lives. With the internet, everything is at your fingertips.
For example, it makes online shopping incredibly convenient — I can buy whatever I want and have it delivered to my door within days. Also, it helps a lot with studying or work. Whenever I need to do research or find information, I can just Google it and get thousands of results in seconds.
One of the biggest advantages for me personally is being able to keep in touch with my family. I'm currently living in Canada, while my parents and relatives are all in China. But because of the internet, we can video call regularly, and it doesn’t feel like we are so far apart. It really brings people closer no matter where they are in the world.
I couldn’t imagine a world without the internet. People are extremely dependent on it nowadays. For instance, when it comes to payments, people rarely use cash anymore — we use digital wallets or apps to pay for everything. Most stores rely heavily on the internet.
I remember there was one day when the Fido/Rogers network had a big problem. Our photo lab couldn’t help customers print their pictures because our entire system was down. It was so frustrating. That incident made me realize just how much we rely on the internet in our daily work.
So yeah, I think the internet really changed the way people live. It's super useful and makes life much easier in so many ways. I honestly can't imagine living without it.
