Describe a comedy movie / a movie you watched recently / a movie you’d like to watch again
One comedy movie I watched recently and really enjoyed was Bullet Train. I saw it at home with my roommate because she just got a projector, so we turned our living room into a mini movie theater.
Bullet Train is a 2022 action-comedy directed by David Leitch, who also directed Deadpool 2 and Mr. & Mrs. Smith. I really enjoy his style — it's fast-paced, humorous, and full of clever action sequences. I chose this film was also because it stars Brad Pitt, who is one of my favorite actors.
The story is about a killer codenamed Ladybug, played by Brad Pitt, who boards a high-speed train in Japan to carry out what seems to be a simple mission. However, things quickly spiral out of control when he discovers that several other killers with conflicting goals are also on the same train. As the plot unfolds, their stories collide in unexpected and hilarious ways. The whole film has a Kill Bill kind of vibe — stylish, violent, yet very funny.
My favorite part of the movie is the storyline involving twin brothers, Lemon and Tangerine. Their relationship is both hilarious and touching. There’s one scene that shows how they managed to kill 13 people together — it’s edited in such a cool and funny way that I couldn’t stop laughing. I was also deeply moved by the emotional bond between them, especially when one of the brothers dies near the end. I actually cried a little — sorry for the spoiler!
This film made such an impression on me that I often recommend it to my friends, and so far, everyone has enjoyed it. If I ever get the chance, I’d love to watch it again in a real cinema. I think seeing it on a big screen with powerful sound would make the experience even more exciting.
